Why an Academy?

Because an Academy is a place of knowledge and reflection. Historically, the word 'Academy' refers to the school of philosophy founded by Plato around 387 BC. It is a space of excellence, a learned society, a community of values. Promoting responsible female leadership therefore means creating a space of excellence, reflection and action where women magistrates train, support one another and commit to making the rule of law a concrete reality. We are not in the business of demands, but of construction.
