Objectives

  1. 01

    Strengthen capacities and female leadership

Strengthen professional capacities and female leadership within the judiciary. This is achieved through continuing education and upskilling of members, covering the usual procedural matters (civil, criminal, administrative, tax) as well as fields linked to new information and communication technologies, digital law, environmental law, the rules governing the profession (judicial ethics), and the ethics, morality and values inherent in the practice of the magistrate’s profession.

  2. 02

Create a space of solidarity and mentorship

Create a space of solidarity, exchange of experience and intergenerational mentorship. AFMEED organises moments of fellowship where women leaders share their experience to inspire other women to aspire to decision-making positions.

  3. 03

Mentoring and supporting the young girl

As a structure meant to outlive its founders, AFMEED must prepare the next generation. As an example of female professional success in an often demanding environment, AFMEED inspires young girls toward excellence and decision-making roles, and guides them in their academic and university choices.

  4. 04

    Legal awareness and education

Contribute to the legal awareness and education of women and young girls. AFMEED does not intend to keep the law within the walls of the courthouse. In this spirit, awareness of rights and protections is carried out in the field: informing girls about their fundamental rights, explaining the mechanisms of protection against violence, and encouraging the reporting of abuse in a safe environment.
